With travel and guests, and too many parties and poor eating, the holiday’s can be tough on our immune systems. So this Tipster Tuesday, we are bringing you the Good Drop Immune Support round up. Some of our best immune support options ranging from the DIY budget options to the full-service ready-to-go solutions.
So when you feel a little something coming on – how do you choose between Inner Defense, Make-Your-Own Capsules and Immupro?
- When I’m in a rush – Inner Defense is the hands-down winner. These capsules with the perfectly balanced blend of Thieves (Lemon, Eucalyptus, Clove, Rosemary, and Cinnamon) with Lemongrass, Thyme, and Oregano, are a no brainer. Ready to take at a moment’s notice, and super convenient to keep at your desk or in your handbag. Cost: About 90c a capsule if I don’t take into account my 25% back in ER points.
- When I’m tired – Immupro has all the immune-boosting goodness of zinc, selenium, reishi and maitake powder with a healthy dose of Melatonin for that good night’s sleep that I know will help me feel better in the morning. It’s an easy chewable tab I can take on a plane or beside my bed. Cost: About $1.15 a chew tab (again without my ER benefits).
- When I have the time – DIY Immune Support capsules – add a drop of Vitality oils (Thieves, Lemon, Lemongrass and Thyme) to an empty capsule and top with fractionated coconut oil or olive oil. This is the budget-friendly way to keep your immune system kicking. (You can also, just drip them on a TSP of honey if you can handle the tingle on your tongue!) DIY capsules will melt if made too much ahead of time so make as needed or pop them in the freezer. Some people like to use Oregano or Frankincense instead. The nice thing about this method is that it can totally be customized to your preferences. Young Living’s Clear Vegetable Capsules come 250 to a jar and are a great way to start with capsule making and if you find you are going to do it often you can get bulk buys for great deals. Cost: Capsule and one drop each of the oils = 39cents (even less with ER points!). Not too shabby for something that will help you avoid the OTC stuff!
Of course, there are so many variations on these 3 options, like making ready to use Thieves Tea Honey (did you see this fun DIY? what a cute teacher gift for Xmas!), and the ready to use Thieves Roll-On (or you can easily make your own!). So let us know, have you tried Inner Defense or Immupro? Have you tried making your own capsules?
