Let’s be clear. I don’t iron. If you can believe it, I grew up in a household that ironed pillowcases, and yet somehow I missed that gene. I don’t iron. While I love the look of it, I just never do it. I don’t have the time, the patience or, frankly, the skill (how do I seem to add more wrinkles!). So how do I get rid of those wrinkles?!? Using this amazing tip from my friend Yvonne.
Yvonne was my travel buddy to most YL events until she met the delightful David. But suffice to say, she and I spent a lot of time together in hotels so I got to see a lot of her travel hacks.

Thieves Wrinkle Release
Ingredients:
- add 1 capful Thieves Household Cleaner to 32oz of water in a spray bottle with a fine mist
Method:
- Thin Fabrics: Hang shirt on hanger, mist lightly, run your hand over the fabric.
- Medium weight Fabrics: Mist lightly, wait one minute, and then pick up and shake vigorously.
- Heavyweight Fabrics: Lay on flat surface. Spray and wait one minute. Pull the fabric tight to remove wrinkles.
It all works so fast! Literally, it’s taken me way longer to write this post that to do this. Everyone is getting in on this hack. Heather said she stopped buying Downy Wrinkle Release – one less thing to have to buy! Diane says she decants a small amount into a spray bottle to bring with her on trips. So many great ideas.
And really at a 1/4tsp per 32oz, this is way less than 50 cents a bottle to make… It’s a BARGAIN.
From Yvonne: The picture on the left the pants were sort of folded and shoved into my suitcase. They had been on the road w me for 2wks…. usually I would wear them wrinkled because I don’t care. But I had a photo shoot and needed to look put together…
I used 3 sprays on the pants and pulled the fabric tight. Left side of picture is after pulling fabric tight. Right side is after 3 sprays and waiting for the magic to happen! Less than 3 minutes.
